Piping and Seams of a Mattress!
The tufts of a mattress are not the first choice of Bed Bugs to nest if their host tosses and turns a lot in the bed.
In case of a unpredictable host, they would rather nest at a safe distance such as in the cracks, gaps and holes of the bed frame and box spring.
On the other hand if the host is quite docile, then they would be comfortable to nest a lot close to the sleeping host.
This mattress tuft has many Bed Bugs, Skin Sheds, and White Shiny Eggs. The black Excrements that have been absorbed into the fibres of the fabric of the mattress.
